The Samsung D7000 compared to the Samsung D8000

Samsung introduced 2 premium innovated series of 3D LED TVs for 2011: the D7000 and the D8000, while D8000 is the higher-end series.
So there are few main differents between Samsung UN55D7000 and Samsung UN55D8000:

• 15,000,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio in the D7000 compared to 25M:1 in the D8000, this factor is important but still 15M:1 is more contrast ratio than what any other company offers.
• JULY 2011 UPDATE: By the official Samsung website, we can also learn that the Samsung LED 7000 has a Clear Motion Rate of 720 while the LED 8000 has 960 CMR, the CMR is a number calculated based on few factors (such as backlighting technology performance, panel refresh rate and image processing ability) which give an indication about how well the LED TV will face with fast-moving scenes.
• The D7000 series doesn’t include the new “Micro Dimming Plus” technology, which basically takes the disadvantages of edge-lit LED based screen and fixes them so you get the same (and even better) results as in full local dimming based screens.
• The hot 3″ touch remote control given with the D8000 is not included with the D7000.



• The both models show off an ultra slim bezel. however, the D8000 has a splendid polished metal finish while the D7000 has a black/red finish.
  JULY 2011 UPDATE: Also, the D8000′s bezel is smaller (just 0.2 inch), to be precise a 0.15 inch smaller than the bezel of the D7000.
• In spite of its inferiority, the Samsung UN55D7000 is way cheaper than the Samsung UN55D8000, and it’s a very important factor to consider when you buy a TV.
