LG 2011 3D LED TVs
LG introduced their 2011 TVs lineup in the traditional CES event.
This year there are few revolutionary technologies integrated in the TVs:
Cinema 3D: a passive 3D, the same technology used by the movie theaters. unlike the active 3D technology that uses heavy flickering glasses with batteries, Cinema 3D uses light passive polarized glasses which makes no stress on your eyes and bring more comfort. also the picture will be much brighter compared to the passive 3D. There are 2 series having this technology, both under the “Infinia” brand, the LW5600 & LW6500. 4 glasses will be included with every purchase of Cinema 3D TV.
Nano Full LED: LED screens are usually back-lit or edge-lit based. while the back-lit uses a matrix arrangements of the LED bulbs behind the screen which gives a very good picture quality, the edge-lit makes the lighting on from the edges of the TV and therefore it is cheaper and thinner than the back-lit. the new Nano LED technology uses back-lit and still keeps things thin and offer sharper, cleaner and smoother picture than ever before both in 2D and 3D.
Here is a video explaining about the Nano LED:
